I still do two meals a day about once or twice on the weekends but during the week I am OMAD and couldn’t be When I first started OMAD 4 years ago I did not count calories and ate whatever I wanted but in only one meal. haha, like it will make you fart for life? One thing I do struggle with sometimes is eating enough food in one sitting to satisfy a day's needs. Start by doing a couple of days, then slowly add more days. I've read a bit about OMAD and there's literature that advises particularly nutrient-rich foods for the one meal, however I wanted to get a more realistic idea of what people do :) I love the idea of eating what I want once a day lol, but feel that's likely to be too good to be true in practice. It is going to take a long time for your body and mind to adjust. I'm surprised at the people that say, "My God, I could never go 24 hours without eating!" Yes, yes you can. So after doing OMAD for 2 weeks I decided to try a 5-day water fast, and I logged my thoughts and actions as I went through it. The problem I faced previously When I did omad for too long is that when I would add in a tmad day I’d end up eating 2 meals the size of my omad days. I personally really like to sneak in 24+ hour Fast with an AM OMAD, then the next day have an evening OMAD. I explained that I’m in the middle of fall training and running 25-30 miles/week (which will continue to increase toward race day). I eat my OMAD to the TDEE (or slightly under) that is indicated on my Apple Watch SE and my weight has been the same for over 12 months. I lost 25 lbs on IF but it wasn’t until I switched to omad that my skin improved. It became easier when I did OMAD + Keto diet. Right now I am still suffering from loosing my mother and the love of my life. hope to continue forever. I’m fat adaptive now which is truly amazing.
